The Bush/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz Death Toll

by Robert J. Bradbury

How many deaths is President Bush responsible for?
How many more people will he kill?

According to my estimates based upon current trends, sometime in 2007, perhaps very close to July 4, 2007, but more probably in the spring of 2007, President Bush will have been responsible for the deaths of more U.S. citizens than Osama bin Laden and Al Queda. The data for this is cited below. Of course the spin meisters would have you believe that after the Iraqi elections in January 2005 the monthly death toll will decrease. At the same time they are considering sanctions against Syria because it seems to be a haven for a significant number of Saddam family members/loyalists which are funding and/or directing the insurgents.

And of course the press has well documented that we went to war not for reasons associated with national security related to weapons of mass destruction but due to policy decisions [T.D.S.M-2005, T.T.O.L-2005] which were presumably to make President Bush look good for his 2004 reelection campaign. It has also been documented that there isn't any "extraction strategy" [e.g. Krugman-2005]. The "coalition" conveniently forgot about that during the rush to war. The best the external forces can hope to do is train up enough Iraqi's whose choices of death would appear to range from being kidnapped and beheadeed, being dragged from ones vehicle and shot or being blown up in one of the less precise attacks by insurgents.

The data for this is from the Excel spreadsheet BushDeathToll.xls which in turn is derived from the military references cited.
